Hanoi is one of the most chaotic, busiest cities I've ever been to. Despite the chaos, though, Hanoi captivated me. I tried so much good food like bun bo nam bo and spent hours walking the city's bustling streets.

Ninh Binh is a backpacker's haven as it is in close proximity to all the sites of Tam Coc National Park. The area is great for hiking, viewing nature, and experiencing Vietnamese culture. We rented a motorbike to explore Tam Coc and get the best possible views while we were there.

I visit Halong Bay, Vietnam and manage to see all the sites and take a junk boat tour while avoiding the crowds of tourists (mostly). This post is packed with pictures of beautiful archipelagos and funny language barrier stories.

A quaint, colonial town in central Vietnam, Hội An is full of bright, colorful lanterns and delicious Vietnamese food. I felt the most immersed in culture during this stop on my SE Asia backpacking trip.
